Car Repair Assistance Application
IMPORTANT – PLEASE READ CAREFULLY BEFORE APPLYING
BEFORE APPLYING, YOU ARE REQUIRED TO COMPLETE THE FOLLOWING:
1. SIGN UP FOR A FINANCIAL LITERACY CLASS AVAILABLE HERE:

2. CHOOSE “LUNCH AND LEARN” or “WHERE DOES YOUR MONEY GO”.
3. AFTER COMPLETING THE CLASS, SUBMIT THE CERTIFICATE OF COMPLETION DURING THE APPLICATION PROCESS.
4. OBTAIN FORMAL ESTIMATE FOR CAR REPAIR FROM A LICENSED MECHANIC SHOP.
United Way staff will screen and evaluate applications for one-time per household financial assistanceand approve eligible households with assistance up to $500 for car repair. All payments will be made directly to the client’s repair shop. Funds will not be utilized for car purchases.
APPLICATIONS WITH PARTIAL, MISSING OR INCOMPLETE REQUIRED DOCUMENTS WILL NOT BE EVALUATED.
Use the application for car repair assistance only. Only one request per household will be accepted. Only applications with all required information will be reviewed and considered.
When you agree with the required actions and terms, then you may proceed with the application process.
