The United Way of Pinal County & Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library provides children 0-5 years of age books on a monthly basis. The program is focused on giving opportunities to children in rural Pinal County communities with access to books that will help them improve their reading skills and the overall love for books. We all know that children learn how to read from 0-8 years of age. After that, the children read to learn. That’s why it’s so important to teach the love of books and reading at the child’s early age. United Way of Pinal County is committed to provide that opportunity to our children in Pinal County. Register your child HERE.

MyFreeTaxes is a service provided by United Way for free and easy tax preparation. There are free federal and state filing options available for all income levels, including schedule C. In-person assistance is available for those who qualify. MyFreeTaxes screens for credit and deduction eligibility, like the Earned Income Tax Credit and Child Tax Credit and can help filers claim missed stimulus payments. Most filers complete their taxes in under one hour and save an average of $200 in fees. Get started HERE.

The Rent & Utility Assistance Program offers help to low-income families in need during a crisis or other financial hardship. Pinal County community members do not need to be in foreclosure or eviction process to qualify. A course in financial education will be required before funds are distributed, as the goal is for our residents to have the knowledge and resources to be more financially stable and better prepared for the unexpected. When funding is available, applications for assistance can be found under the APPLY FOR HELP menu on our website.
